About The Position

The Branch Team Lead (BTL) will report under direct supervision to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for the assisted daily supervision of the Retail Team. The BTL is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in the leadership to the Retail Team by modeling a high level of customer service while assisting with processing transactions and offering relevant products or services to potential or existing customers. Primary duties associated with this position include enforcement of compliance with established policies and procedures, building and maintaining relationships with customers while assisting in the coaching and training of the Retail Team. By collaborating closely with the Branch Manager and other team members, this role contributes to achieving branch financial goals and enhancing customer and team member satisfaction. Ultimately, the BTL helps to build and maintain a high-performing branch that supports the overall growth and reputation of BankFirst.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years in Retail Banking with Teller or Operational Experience
  • Demonstrated Leadership Experience
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Effective Communication Skills including written and oral
  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written or verbal format
  • Ability to establish credibility with customers and demonstrate confidence in decision-making
  • Knowledge of banking products and services offered
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Able to operate computer equipment and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of and adherence to proper telephone & email etiquette
  • General knowledge of banking terminology & regulations

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support in Retail Team work schedules and ensure appropriate staffing levels are in place to support customer needs
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and exemplary customer service in the processing of bank transactions and operational duties
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to assist with identification of potential bank products or services which will meet their needs
  • Assist customers with various banking products or services including online banking, debit card transactions and mobile check deposits
  • Perform teller functions such as processing deposits, making withdrawals, accepting payments, transfers, loan disbursements, stop payments and issuance of monetary instruments
  • Observe and adhere to assigned Branch and Teller drawer cash limits including transaction limits for check cashing using assignment of appropriate holds
  • Assist in training to new team members to ensure procedures and policies are followed
  • Continually reinforce secure handling of cash, coin, and monetary instruments including the daily balancing and reconcilement of cash and transactions
  • Resolve customer escalations requiring supervisor intervention
  • Assist Branch Management with annual employee performance reviews and day-to-day performance management of the Retail Team
  • Participate in branch opening and closing procedures under dual control
  • Must understand and ensure compliance with regulations and reporting as they relate to BSA, OFAC, CIP and Regulation CC
  • Attend or complete assigned Training as required
