About The Position

The position provides assistance and quality customer service to retail employees and other bank employees, completing daily tasks as assigned. It is an entry-level role focused on acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and accurately perform departmental duties. The role involves following established procedures and management policies to ensure good system controls and safeguard financial information.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of operational experience, customer service experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to set priorities and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to interact well with all bank personnel.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate well within time restraints.
• Demonstrated ability in working with computers.
• Ability to follow specific instructions.
• Good motor skills and continuous movement of hands.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrated proficiency and commitment to excellence in performance of duties.
• Knowledgeable of regulations governing transactions in relation to deposit and loan accounts.
• Demonstrated aptitude for banking and developing a general knowledge of bank operations.

Responsibilities

• Acquire knowledge and skills to perform departmental duties efficiently and accurately.
• Follow established procedures and management policies for system controls.
• Maintain sufficient records for good audit trails of all transactions.
• Meet reporting deadlines as directed.
• Edit, correct, and process transactions to customer accounts.
• Capture, index, and manage customer documentation in a centralized system.
• Process outgoing mail.
• Verify and balance bank accounts, monitor and clear exceptions.
• Balance all teller-related activities.
• Process incoming mail and returned mail.
• Process credit verifications.
