The Branch Service Manager at Amegy Bank is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Katy Banking Center, ensuring exceptional customer service and achieving strategic goals. This role involves managing service, operations, and sales functions, while also providing leadership and training to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking operations and customer relationship management, and will be passionate about community engagement and team collaboration.

  • Manage the banking center service, operations, and sales functions to achieve strategic goals.
  • Conduct training and coaching, including mentoring employees.
  • Provide leadership and training for the sale and referral of bank products and services.
  • Resolve and respond to client service concerns and complex complaints.
  • Direct the work of managed employees, including scheduling and setting hours.
  • Maintain production or sales records for performance management of employees.
  • Recommend promotions or changes in employee status and handle grievances.
  • Oversee compliance with safety and security protocols and legal compliance measures.
  • Monitor compliance with policy and the company's risk appetite.
  • Approve teller transactions as needed.
  • Prepare the banking center for audits and resolve any concerns identified.
  • Provide sales leadership through personal production and oversight of sales tasks.
  • Investigate and research operational issues, loss, fraud, and resolve significant matters.
  • Represent the banking center in handling complaints and resolving grievances.
  • Process cash transactions and perform other customer service duties as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proficient knowledge of lending processes and procedures, including underwriting and loan origination.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in financial management, sales techniques, and banking products.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and employees.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with banking software and systems for managing transactions and operations.
