About The Position

The Branch Pipeline Manager acts as a liaison between internal teams and external clients, overseeing the loan process from start to finish to ensure timely, accurate file progression. This role manages a loan pipeline, partners with loan officers and processors to streamline workflows, and improves the borrower and loan officer experience through clear communication, appropriate loan structuring, and thorough file quality and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of mortgage underwriting and processing experience.
  • Extensive experience with VA loan files, including entitlement verification, residual income calculations, and adherence to VA underwriting requirements.
  • Extensive experience with Encompass LOS.
  • NMLS license preferred; if not licensed, must obtain NMLS license within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and applicable consumer protection regulations (e.g., RESPA, TILA/TRID).
  • Excellent math and analytics skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a pipeline consisting of VA, Conventional, and FHA loans.
  • Provide customer service by communicating with borrowers to assist client(s) in understanding loan programs, costs, and various applicable loan documents.
  • Communicate loan program and costs with borrowers (license required for this duty to be performed.)
  • Identify missing documentation and request items that best support approval.
  • Review and audit income, assets, run DU and verify credit documentation within mortgage file to ensure loan stability.
  • Pre‑underwrite items such as paystubs, credit reports, W‑2s, bank statements, and court orders to support approval.
  • Ensure structure of the loan presents the best program based on the borrower’s financial circumstances.
  • Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver to borrower, including but not limited to rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages.
  • Input feed for disclosures, present and set up loan to best fit borrower’s needs.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and processors to develop and maintain a streamlined loan workflow.
