At C&N, we’re seeking a Branch Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day retail operations of one or more branch locations. In this role, you’ll help ensure operational accuracy, cash integrity, audit readiness, and a positive experience for both customers and teammates. Requirements

  • Education & Experience – You will need a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND 2-4 years previous related experience in cash handling and/or customer service setting, preferably in a banking environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills – You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas: Attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and multitasking abilities Critical thinking and sound judgment Leadership and team support Customer-focused problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Branch Operations Oversight: Support daily retail operations for assigned branch(es), including teller oversight, report review, rejected item processing, branch security responsibilities, and audit preparation to ensure satisfactory audit outcomes.
  • Cash & Vault Management: Oversee and participate in teller balancing, vault and ATM balancing (where applicable), currency ordering, cash shipments, and maintaining appropriate branch cash levels in partnership with the Retail Operations Coordinator.
  • Customer Transactions: Perform teller transactions as needed, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wire transfers, cashier’s checks, debit card issuance, safe deposit box access, and other customer service requests.
  • Reporting & Administrative Support: Ensure required branch reports are completed, assist with outbound customer contact tied to reports, and handle administrative tasks such as office supply ordering and supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Team Support & Coaching: Assist the Community Office Manager with training, coaching, and development of branch staff. May provide direct supervision, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee growth as assigned.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products and operational requirements.
