Your day as a Branch Operations Specialist As a Full-Time Branch Operations Specialist at Zeal Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing member experiences by assisting with complex transactions, inquiries, and account research. Your commitment to exceptional service will guide you in providing tailored product recommendations while ensuring the smooth operation of the branch. You will handle a variety of responsibilities ranging from cash management—balancing vaults, ATMs, and teller drawers, to conducting branch audits and maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. As a knowledgeable resource, you will train and mentor Member Service Representatives and specialists, fostering a culture of operational excellence. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert on intricate member transactions, such as CDs, IRAs, and consumer lending. By modeling our credit union values and promoting a positive, member-focused atmosphere, you will contribute significantly to our mission of serving the community effectively. Punctuality and regular onsite attendance will be essential as you take on various operational responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 3 years of similar or related experience
  • High school education or GED
  • Knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge and/or training, and compliance with Laws and Regulations pertaining to BSA/AML/OFAC and other applicable regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in branch operations, compliance, or audit functions within a financial institution.
  • Advanced understanding of branch transactional systems, balancing procedures, and complex member service functions.
