About The Position

The primary function of this position is to generate revenue for the branch by actively establishing a center of influence as a referral base and participating in community events. The role involves growing and expanding the existing customer base through partner referrals and acquiring new customers by conducting effective needs assessments and making recommendations based on customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, banking, finance, economics, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of product sales and customer relationship management experience in the branch banking industry or related environment.
  • Life and Health Insurance licenses preferred; required to discuss and sell investment or insurance products.
  • Substantial customer portfolio/customer base is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of retail banking consumer and commercial products, loan products, financial reports, and banking laws and regulations.
  • Strong sales, marketing, and business development skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle large volumes, tight turnarounds, and multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and plan financial solutions for customer portfolios.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred) is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with current and potential customers with greater profit and growth potential to discuss their financial requirements and sell appropriate consumer and commercial financial services products.
  • Identify current and potential customers with additional profit potential and develop action plans to acquire and expand those relationships.
  • Conduct needs assessments with current and potential customers and recommend insurance products and services based on objectives, risk tolerance, and proper asset allocations.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer customers to other sales representatives through proper customer profiling and needs-based selling.
  • Maintain superior and courteous service to promote products and expand customer relationships.
  • Actively participate in community organizations to promote the bank's image and develop sales leads.
  • Open deposit accounts on the bank's system ensuring compliance with documentation requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in all bank's sales campaigns and promotions and exceed targets set.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank's policies and government regulations.
  • Update and maintain individual sales tracking records for performance review purposes.
  • Complete all mandatory training on related bank compliance and regulations in a timely manner.
