About The Position

The Branch Operations Manager is a dynamic position responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of the service center. This position is responsible for safety, transaction quality, inventory accuracy, facility maintenance, yard productivity, and administration through the implementation of standard operating procedures. Requirements

  • Five years in Customer Service, Operations or Operations Management
  • Good Computer skills, Proficient in Excel
  • High School Degree
  • Experience in directly managing people.
  • Strong communication, problem solving and decision-making skills to effectively resolve customer and employee issues.
  • Uphold confidentiality in all situations.
  • Detail oriented, strong organization skills and a high degree of accuracy with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to use Internet, Outlook, MS Office, and position specific software as required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe work environment through training, inspection, and corrective action.
  • Create, implement, and sustain required standard operating procedures.
  • Measure performance using metrics against pre-defined goals in areas such as safety, inventory accuracy, equipment inspection, and all other areas.
  • Resolve issues within the material flow of the branch and implement procedures to ensure that transactions flow accurately 100% of the time.
  • Foster alignment with Functional Support Departments.
  • Ensure proper stocking, movement, and loading of material.
  • Manage or complete daily managerial duties such as facility and equipment maintenance and repair, OSHA requirements, safety training, etc.
  • Manage staffing at the branch, including controlling and minimizing labor overtime.
  • Manage transaction accuracy by making sure each day’s transactions are updated in the system the day during which they occur and ensuring performance goals are met in this functional area.
  • Other responsibilities as requested.
