The Branch Operations Manager at Sunwest Bank is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the bank's branch network, ensuring operational integrity, compliance with policies, and delivering superior customer service. The manager acts as a point of escalation for problem resolution and is tasked with maintaining high standards for risk management and operational performance.

  • Ensure client satisfaction and account retention through quality service.
  • Handle client requests and complaints with prompt, professional, and courteous attention.
  • Understand and comply with Bank policies, procedures, and regulations governing job responsibilities.
  • Responsible for transaction approvals within assigned limits.
  • Lead and actively participate in daily warm-up and monthly branch staff meetings.
  • Ensure that all employees are well versed in all Bank products.
  • Hold keys and Alarm Code to the branch; Open and close the branch.
  • Responsible for staffing, branch performance, appraisals, promotions, salary actions, and terminations.
  • Minimize employee turnover rate.
  • Provide accurate and timely performance appraisals, counseling, and status changes.
  • Exercise sound judgment and compliance with policy regarding promotion and salary actions.
  • Responsible for employee development and provide training as needed.
  • Ensure satisfactory audit ratings and manage critical operational metrics to minimize risks and losses.
  • Communicate Bank policies, procedures, and regulations to branch personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to optimize branch operational performance.
  • Review and analyze existing business-specific work processes and propose changes.
  • Prepare reports and complete special projects as requested by management.
  • Participate in necessary training and achieve individual and branch goals.
  • Basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services.
