About The Position

The Branch Operations Lead assists Branch Operations Management in leading daily warehouse operations. This role involves supervising warehouse and delivery associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining a customer service-oriented philosophy. The position requires active participation in training and safety activities, as well as coordination with management to optimize branch operations.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience, including leading or planning the work of others.
• Must meet state-specific driver’s license requirements for delivery duties.
• Demonstrated self-starter and motivated individual.
• Strong organizational, supervisory, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operational policies.
• Ability to solve practical problems in varied situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise five or more associates in warehouse and delivery operations.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Support teammates in their training opportunities.
• Maintain current knowledge of all required training.
• Coordinate warehouse activities with Assistant Manager and/or Manager.
• Learn all functions of Branch Management including operations, staffing, training, and budgeting.
• Maintain daily workflow for delivery orders and assist associates during peak hours.
• Participate in planning personnel safety and training activities.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and make recommendations regarding safety.
• Understand vehicle and workers’ compensation reporting procedures.
• Serve as a role model for compliance with branch procedures.
• Report violations of policies and safety concerns to management.
• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach in all conduct.
• Ensure operations procedures are followed for shipments and inventory.
• Recommend improvements to procedures.
• Inform management of the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
• Use company vehicle to deliver products and equipment safely.
