The position involves assisting in supervising all phases of the branch operations. The role requires conducting management duties such as planning, organizing, motivating, training, and communicating. The individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of goals, preparing and ensuring the accuracy of monthly board reports, and submitting all required forms to management. Leadership is a key aspect, as the individual must set an example for employees regarding professionalism and coach staff for career development. The position also includes ensuring proper cash handling and compliance with regulations, recommending policy revisions, and maintaining operational efficiency.

  • Conduct management duties such as planning, organizing, motivating, training, and communicating.
  • Development and implementation of goals.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of monthly board reports in a timely manner.
  • Submit all required forms to management each month.
  • Provide leadership and set an example for employees concerning manner, dress, attitude, and professionalism.
  • Coach and mentor staff to provide career pathing.
  • Correct areas that need improvement and ensure management is aware of ongoing issues.
  • Responsible for determining proper control and individual accountability of cash.
  • Verify cash in the possession of tellers, cash in the vault and ATM.
  • Recommend revisions to branch policies and procedures.
  • Develop new policies and procedures for approval by upper management.
  • Institute and implement branch procedure changes as requested.
  • Approve all sick leave, annual leave, and/or PTO for the branch.
  • Work timecards in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping procedures are followed.
  • Keep sufficient supplies and forms for day-to-day business.
  • Communicate with Indirect partners and ensure timely funding of Indirect deals.
  • Be actively involved in civic organizations in the community.
  • Supervise all activities, including implementation of established procedures.
  • Develop, train and motivate staff to achieve optimum efficiency.
  • Actively participate in needs-based sales program by offering products and services to members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, preferably with related Master’s degree.
  • Extensive experience will be considered in place of formal education.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of PCs, calculators, fax machines, and copiers.
  • Must be goal-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle member concerns and problems, meet deadlines, prioritize and handle multi-tasks.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Presentation skills for speaking in meetings and representing the credit union.
  • In-depth knowledge of Loan and teller functions.
