Responsible for the operation of the branch office with respect to teller and loan functions as well as providing quality service to members. Provides coaching and development to assigned branch staff.
Ensures active and on-going coaching and development to assigned branch staff, writes and conducts performance appraisals and identifies training needs.
Oversees branch staff; trains and directs assigned staff. Interviews, recommends new hires, promotions, transfers and salary adjustments.
Reviews and approves time off requests.
Ensures all branch activities are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Determines when appropriate exceptions can be made.
Oversees assigned staff as it relates to operational activities; maintains communication and coordinates activities with other departments.
Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
Provides recommendations for branch budget items and administration of established budget.
Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services area to include (but not limited to): BSA reporting requirements, OFAC, USA Patriot ACT, Red Flags, Regulation CC, Regulation D, Regulation E, Truth in Savings, Truth in Lending, Privacy, etc.
Represents the branch at school and community networking events to build relationships. Volunteers in community and school events to promote the credit union.
Acts as a back-up for loan officers with consumer loans up to the amount assigned in credit union policy and serves as a member of the Appeals Committee. Processes employee loan requests.
Serves as a back-up for all branch roles/positions.
Other job duties as assigned
Minimum five years of financial institution experience to include two years of leadership experience.
Ability to work regular full-time hours.
Ability to work on-site at designated location.
Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
Ability to manage projects through to completion.
Proficient with problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy and model exemplary member service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
Must be bondable
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time (6 to 7 hours per day).
Must be able to view a computer screen, use a keyboard to enter information, and manipulate a mouse.
