About The Position

To direct the operations of a medium Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans. Responsible for the management of all branch staff, branch facilities, and service levels provided at that facility. Ideal Characteristics: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to hire, develop, and lead branch staff to deliver exceptional service and meet performance goals. Customer-focused mindset, ensuring high levels of member satisfaction across teller, lending, and service functions. Financially and operationally savvy, capable of monitoring branch performance and implementing corrective actions to achieve financial and growth objectives. Clear and effective communicator, able to represent the branch professionally with internal teams and external partners. Thorough understanding of credit union policies and compliance, with a commitment to completing required training and adhering to all regulations.

Requirements

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • A two year college degree or Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
  • The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees member service functions for the assigned branch, ensuring member satisfaction, achievement of goals, and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and credit union policies and procedures.
  • Hires, directs, develops, motivates, and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Oversees loan functions for the assigned branch, ensuring member satisfaction, achievement of goals, and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and credit union policies and procedures.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Oversees teller service functions for the assigned branch, ensuring member satisfaction, achievement of goals, and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and credit union policies and procedures.
  • Maintains communications with executive manager; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organizations(s), suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Timely completes all required compliance/operations training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
