About The Position

The basic function of the Pest Control Branch Manager is to provide assistance to the Operations Manager through service, sales, production, training and inventory; project the Paul’s Termite and Pest Control image and standards to all personnel and clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
  • Florida Certified Operator in General Household Pest and Termite (required)
  • Previous experience in the pest control industry is required.
  • Three years of management experience required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, staff, and customers.
  • Proficient in basic math, including calculations for area, and product application.
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, such as lot layouts or landscape designs.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with scheduling and reporting software like PestPac.
  • Physical capability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working in varying environmental conditions including heat, rain, and cold weather.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Service - Visit problem accounts with Route Technicians, if possible, to resolve issues and retain customers
  • Solve persistent insect and rodent infestations while setting a reasonable and satisfactory expectation for the customer and the Route Technician, assigned to the account through communication and education
  • Ensure all Route Technicians, are consistently communicating with their customers
  • Develop innovative techniques to enhance service excellence
  • Resolve personality conflicts between employees and customers Sales - Accept sales leads and new starts when necessary from the office and field
  • Teach cross-selling techniques to Route Technician, during ride-a-longs Production - Responsible for ensuring 100% account completion by all route technicians.
  • Perform quality assurance follow ups on all pest control routes and participate in ride-along program
  • Provide assistance to all service departments if and when required Training - Ensure all Route Technicians, are following the company’s standard operating procedures through the ride-a-longs and take corrective measures when needed through coaching
  • Check each vehicle monthly for potential issues (tires, lights, damage, etc.)
  • Ensure all required equipment is on each vehicle and that it is used correctly (i.e., B&G’s, spreaders, web broom, aerosols, and P.P.E.)
  • Ensure proper application techniques are utilized by Route Technicians, when dealing with various infestations Inventory - Receive and fill chemical requests from Route Managers utilizing the locker system
  • Record distributed chemical on inventory control sheets and turn in to office inventory specialist
  • Record materials needed for full chemical order on the assigned day (currently the last Tuesday of the month) and turn in to route manager for review.
  • Miscellaneous - Any other duties or responsibilities as may be assigned by the Company and/or the Pest Control Department Service Manager.
