We are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a motivated Branch Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued success. Summary: The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational efficiency, and financial performance of the branch. This role oversees all yard, warehouse, and customer-facing activities to ensure safe operations, exceptional service, strong inventory controls, and a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of building materials—particularly masonry, hardscape, and related construction products—and a proven track record of managing people, processes, and profitability.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of management experience in building materials, construction supply, distribution, or a related industry
  • Strong working knowledge of masonry, hardscape, and general building materials
  • Proficient with warehouse/yard operations, inventory management, and logistics
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and yard equipment (certification or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, and fast-paced environments
  • Physical stamina and ability to bend, push, pull, carry between 50 to 100 lbs repeatedly/regularly
  • Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach and lift
  • Prolonged standing and walking

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-product masonry and hardscape distribution.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Eclipse, DMS, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily branch and yard operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, organization, and full compliance with company standards
  • Manage and execute all opening and closing responsibilities for the yard.
  • Foster a positive, performance-driven culture grounded in accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service
  • Plan, prioritize, and delegate tasks across yard, delivery, and counter teams to ensure seamless workflow and operational excellence
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional branch environment at all times.
  • Direct scheduling, staffing levels, and workload distribution to effectively support business and customer demands
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, IT teams, fellow branch managers, and internal departments to drive alignment, operational support, and organizational success
  • Ensure customers receive outstanding service across all branch touchpoints (yard, showroom, deliveries, and counter)
  • Provide product expertise and guidance on masonry, hardscape, aggregates, and related building materials
  • Partner with Sales Representatives and leadership to support customer growth, resolve service issues, and maintain strong relationships
  • Monitor and improve metrics such as fill rate, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts through strong organization, cycle counts, and receiving procedures
  • Ensure all products are properly stored, labeled, handled, and rotated to minimize damage and loss
  • Oversee equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and trucks to ensure safe and optimal use
  • Support vendor deliveries, inbound freight, and efficient loading/unloading operations
  • Manage branch expense control, and margin management
  • Track KPIs (revenue, GP%, turns, labor efficiency, safety performance) and take corrective action when goals are not met
  • Implement process improvements that increase productivity, accuracy, and profitability
  • Consistently enforce company and OSHA safety standards across all operational activities
  • Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and equipment inspections to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate safety training and adhere to established procedures and protocols
  • Manage the reporting, documentation, and follow-up processes for safety incidents, accidents, and workers’ compensation cases in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate branch team members
  • Develop employees through clear expectations, constructive feedback, and performance metrics
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, adaptability, and professional growth
