About The Position

The Branch Manager is responsible for guiding and managing their team to provide quality service to members in account transactions, loan applications, and new accounts. They are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch to ensure efficient service delivery, strong staff performance, and high levels of member satisfaction. This role requires sound judgment to solve problems within established policies and guidelines, as well as a commitment to excellence in member service, compliance, and operational standards. This role is directly responsible for managing branch operations and personnel in a way that delivers above-average performance. A Day in the Life of a Branch Manager INCLUDES: Providing strong leadership and development to the team within their branch. Responsible for all functions related to the management of the branch staff, including but not limited to resolving employee conflict, enforcing accountability standards and policies through coaching or disciplinary action, staffing and scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensuring new and existing branch staff are adequately trained in all areas and can provide high-quality member service. Overseeing all aspects of membership, including fraud prevention and loss, deposit accounts, and loan and new account queue management to increase profitability and protect Credit Union assets. Handling escalated or complex member concerns professionally, working to resolve issues and mitigate reputation risk. Leading and participating in community outreach initiatives to promote brand visibility and increase engagement.

Requirements

  • 5 years of financial institution experience to include a combination of teller and/or contact center with a minimum of 1 year of lending or loan processing experience.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience within a financial institution.
  • Must be eligible to be licensed to sell all necessary insurance products.
  • 4-year college degree in Business Administration, Finance, or another business-related field.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of meeting education requirements.
  • All candidates must be eligible to be licensed to sell all necessary insurance products.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
