About The Position

Bank of Botetourt has an open position for a Branch Manager for our Rocky Mount Office. Management experience of 1-3 years is preferred. Qualified applicants must have be ability to learn and be competent in performing various banking duties to administer the operation of a branch office, provide excellent customer service, supervise branch staff, handle difficult customer and employee situations, seek to promote bank products and services while leading your team to achieve monthly branch goals. Requirements SUMMARY: Administers the operation of a branch office, provides excellent customer service, and seeks to promote bank products and services. Also, provides consumer loans in compliance with financial institution policies and procedures. Essential Functions Direct, supervise and coordinate branch personnel in their appropriate duties and functions in order to accomplish handling of all bank services and products offered by the bank. Responsible for ensuring branch security procedures are followed according to policy. Interview, process and act upon all types of loan applications and procedures. Responsible for coordination of lending procedures from branch to loan department following guidelines established. Continuously demonstrate a helpful, friendly attitude and be committed to providing excellent customer service. Arrange and oversee inside and outside maintenance of building and grounds. Train and inform staff through branch staff meetings and other training sessions as needed. Handle customer problems and complaints; counsels customer with special needs or requests. Performs all the duties of a consumer banker as needed to service customers in a timely manner. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and procedural expertise to assist staff members with technical problems. Make regular business development calls to solicit new business or improve services to existing clients. Maintains a neat and orderly work area and ensures confidential records are properly secured. Understand their role in case of robbery and know proper post-robbery procedures. Join area service clubs and organizations and represent the bank at their functions and meetings. Ensures that the branch balances at close of each day. Help tellers and others to resolve balancing problems and authorize over/short adjustments. Responsible for overall completion of BAR report and ensures that deadlines are met. Annually review job performances of personnel that report to them directly. Participates in the allocation of retail sales goals and the achievement of individual sales goals. Look for opportunities to cross sell and/or refer bank’s products and services to customers and prospects. Actively refers loan, trust, insurance and brokerage services to the appropriate financial institution specialists. Prepares daily NSF report or check approval decisions that comply with prevailing bank policies and are within current lending authority. Maintains control of work schedules and overtime. Reviews and approves time sheets. Monitors past due report on loans and assists with collection activities. Assist in administration of Bank of Botetourt Elementary Savings Program. Treat all staff members with the utmost respect and cooperation. Conduct business to maximize shareholder value. Promptly report known or suspected violations of BSA laws, rules, or regulations involving the bank, its customers, or any other parties, or violations of the bank’s BSA compliance program to the BSA Officer or Coordinator.
