RESOURCE BANK Branch Manager Position Summary : This position reports to the Chief Retail Banking Officer. This position is responsible for the activities of the assigned retail outlet(s) and to provide high quality customer service, achieve product sales targets and deliver customer service through a trained and motivated staff. Travel to, and attend training events as needed. Essential Functions : · Manage the retail outlet as an income center to achieve income and expense targets. · Participate in the development of retail goals and sales targets. Review targets with staff quarterly and progress against those goals. · Ensure loan and deposit exceptions are cleared. · Monitor and manage past due accounts. · Participate in community activities in the vicinity of the branch location to enhance public awareness of the bank and to leave a positive impression of the bank. · Oversee the delivery of quality customer service at the branch through personal contact with customers and prospects. · Participate in the development of branch performance standards in areas such as operating loss control, Personal Bankers’ levels of experience, bank secrecy and compliance with policies and procedures. · Oversee the direction of the branch staff to ensure effective utilization of personnel timely and objective performance evaluations, equitable salary structure and identifiable career paths for qualified and interested candidates. · Monitor the knowledge and skill levels of branch personnel to identify development and training needs. Participates with the Retail Services Assistant in the development of training programs as needed. · Meet regularly with staff to communicate objectives and goals, branch operating status and employee input to improve branch performance so that high quality information flows in both directions. Interview loan applicants, checks credit, completes and processes necessary documentation in accordance with Bank procedures. Make loan, overdraft, or check approval decisions that comply with prevailing Bank policies and which are within current lending authority. · Audit branch vault in the absence of the Relationship Manager or Assistant Branch Manager. · Complete all training requirements, including compliance, in a timely manner. · Follow and comply with all bank regulations and security procedures. · Resolve customer complaints. · Available by Bank cell phone whenever needed. · All other duties assigned.
