About The Position

At PNC, the Branch Manager role is a key position within the Retail organization, based in Palm Desert, CA. This role is crucial for delivering an excellent customer experience and fostering an inclusive workplace. PNC operates as an in-office company, promoting a collaborative and supportive culture. The Branch Manager is responsible for driving all aspects of branch performance through effective planning and execution. This includes generating revenue and enhancing customer loyalty through consultative client interactions and financial well-being solutions. The manager is expected to create a differentiated, easy-to-use banking experience across all channels and to lead and influence various eco-system partners. A significant part of the role involves accountability for risk management and compliance in a complex business environment. Furthermore, the Branch Manager is tasked with building and developing a high-performing team by attracting, onboarding, coaching, and developing branch team members. The position also involves leading and executing sales processes to meet targets, growing branch revenue through consumer and business household acquisition, and driving business banking results through community involvement. The manager coaches the team on consultative selling, ensures a differentiated client experience, and facilitates technology-enabled interactions. They are also responsible for the overall employee experience, talent development, performance management, and modeling PNC values. The role requires managing operational, human capital, reputational, and business risks, exercising sound decision-making to mitigate sales practice risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • At least 2 years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Foundational understanding of balance sheet and income statement.
  • Candidates being considered for this position will be subject to additional background checks as required by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage priorities through planning and execution to drive all aspects of branch performance.
  • Drive revenue and customer loyalty through consultative interactions with clients, offering solutions for financial well-being.
  • Create a differentiated customer experience, making banking easy in an omni channel environment.
  • Lead and influence the agenda of a broad range of eco-system partners.
  • Be accountable for risk management and compliance in a complex business environment.
  • Build a high performing team through the attraction, on-boarding, coaching and development of branch team members.
  • Lead, plan and execute a branded sales process to achieve sales targets and customer loyalty.
  • Grow branch revenue through the acquisition and share-of-wallet growth of consumer and business households.
  • Effectively lead eco-system partnerships.
  • Drive business banking results primarily through business development and community involvement activities.
  • Coach to consultative selling to drive results and enable customer financial well-being.
