About The Position

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead daily operations and support field teams within a fast-paced HVAC and refrigeration service environment. This role is responsible for overseeing administrative functions, managing technicians and dispatch coordination, and ensuring exceptional customer service while driving operational efficiency and profitability. The Branch Manager serves as a key leader and representative of the organization, working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and successful project execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience
  • 3+ years of service management experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong business acumen, including experience with job costing and profit margins
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to develop and implement process improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and safety documents
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Understanding of and compliance with all company policies and applicable laws

Responsibilities

  • Maintain communication with vendors and manufacturers regarding warranty issues, recalls, and product concerns
  • Oversee service vehicles to ensure proper maintenance and inventory levels
  • Monitor departmental performance to ensure profitability and goal attainment
  • Review work orders and invoices for accuracy
  • Prepare and deliver customer quotes in a timely manner
  • Interview, hire, and evaluate technicians to meet service demands
  • Schedule technicians based on workload, skill level, and customer expectations
  • Review technician performance, workmanship, and adherence to safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Conduct performance evaluations and establish improvement plans
  • Coordinate closely with dispatch to optimize scheduling and workforce efficiency
  • Communicate daily updates on job progress, labor hours, and material usage
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
