About The Position

The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all total store activities, including customer service, sales, business development, merchandising, inventory management, employee management, and financial transactions and procedures. This role involves coordinating and performing sales activities, managing daily transactions and cash balancing, assisting customers with product needs and troubleshooting, overseeing inventory cycles, maintaining store cleanliness and security, and preparing customer orders. The manager is also responsible for developing and implementing store policies and procedures in collaboration with management.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing with internal Noble Gas Solutions staff, customers and third parties.
  • Capable of completing a work schedule which may be before or beyond regular office hours, as occasionally required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business/trade journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Ability to ensure compliance to established company policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and resolve problems. Provide management with recommendations that will enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Monitor and document employee job performance, provide necessary coaching, training, counseling and disciplinary action.
  • Capable of managing goals, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress and work objectives and providing feedback/performance evaluations to co-workers and subordinates.
  • Ability to meet essential physical requirements.
  • High School graduate with 4 years’ experience in related industry OR 2 year degree in Business Management or a similar field with 2 years experience in related industry.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform delivery of store sales activities, including: waiting on customers, receiving incoming telephone calls and emails, adhering to established pricing program, merchandising and inventory management.
  • Oversee accurate completion of daily transactions.
  • Oversee daily cash drawer balancing.
  • Provide assistance to in-person and over-the-telephone customers regarding their needs, product applications and availability, trouble-shoot equipment issues and provide solutions to any other areas of customers’ concern.
  • Complete hard goods inventory cycle and physical counts as directed. Interface with Purchasing Manager regarding inventory control, dead stock reduction and product/supplies ordering requirements as necessary.
  • Oversee store and storefront maintenance, cleanliness, and store security.
  • Manage preparation of customer purchases and orders for pick-up, including communicating with Plant employees for assistance with gas purchases (i.e. tank refills).
  • Capable of managing goals, delegating responsibilities, monitoring progress and work objectives and providing feedback/performance evaluations to co-workers and subordinates.
  • Participate in all training provided, including safety, compliance, customer service and product knowledge/applications, etc., as opportunities for training are made available.
  • Together with Management, develop and implement policies and procedures for the store.
  • Be accessible after hours and on weekends in order to arrange for emergencies.
