The Branch Manager at The Union Bank Company in Bowling Green, Ohio, is responsible for overseeing the operations, sales, and team members of the branch. This role emphasizes providing exceptional client experiences while managing loans and deposits. The Branch Manager will focus on growing deposits, enhancing customer service, and generating new business, all under the guidance of the Market Leader.

  • Manage and coach team members to improve performance and meet goals.
  • Publish goals and results, ensuring team accountability.
  • Conduct quality conversations utilizing the Service Excellence Process and coach the team accordingly.
  • Equip team members with necessary skills and tools for success.
  • Conduct weekly team huddles to discuss performance and goals.
  • Ensure effective placement of marketing signage and materials in the branch.
  • Act as a sales champion, working with customers to deepen relationships and generate new business.
  • Proactively schedule appointments and manage the sales pipeline to meet branch goals.
  • Open and close the office, adhering to security policies and procedures.
  • Supervise vault operations and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of office policies regarding check approvals and overrides.
  • Process deposits and teller work as needed.
  • Manage customer problems and complaints, providing counsel for special needs or requests.
  • Generate consumer loan applications and solicit new business for loans.
  • Manage Tellers, Head Tellers, Assistant Managers, and Personal Bankers, providing input on hiring and reviews.
  • Ensure appropriate scheduling to meet customer traffic volumes.
  • Conduct periodic operational training on security, regulatory compliance, and procedures.
  • Run a teller window and process basic customer transactions as a backup when necessary.
  • Open new accounts.
  • Monitor audit requirements and compliance issues for the branch.
  • Stay updated on changes in products, policies, and procedures, attending training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including BPM, Cash Recycler, and Teller functions.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, compliance, and regulations.
  • Experience with sales and business development in a banking context.
  • Familiarity with financial products and services offered by the bank.
