The Branch Manager for Cross Borders Transportation at FedEx Logistics is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities, ensuring customer service excellence, driving business development, and managing the overall P&L results of the branch office. This role involves managing a staff of 5-15 employees and being accountable for financial and operational KPI results. The Branch Manager will handle account management and customer relations activities in line with company standards, manage daily operations performed by branch employees, and provide relevant management reports to the senior management team. Additionally, the role includes communicating company policies and core values, hiring, training, and developing employees, ensuring compliance with company standards, and maintaining site services in accordance with environment, health, security, and safety standards.

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the branch office.
  • Ensure customer service excellence and business development.
  • Manage overall P&L results of the branch.
  • Supervise a staff of 5-15 employees.
  • Account management and customer relations activities.
  • Provide management reports to senior management.
  • Communicate company policies and core values to staff.
  • Hire, train, and develop employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain site services in accordance with EHS&S standards.
  • Experience in the Freight Forwarding / Logistics / Transportation industry required.
  • Experience with international freight operations (Seafreight, Airfreight).
  • Experience managing a diverse team of direct reports.
  • Ability to work successfully under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Subject matter expert in Freight Forwarding / Logistics procedures and practices.
  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Trade, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Completion of a freight forwarding apprenticeship program is an asset.
  • Sales oriented with commercial acumen to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Customer oriented with the ability to create solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Strong leadership ability with experience motivating staff.
  • Strategic vision and ability to implement plans.
  • Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of air/ocean import/export freight operations.
  • Proficient in cargo wise operations system.
  • PC skills including MS Office applications.
  • Sales management and customer/account management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of finance and branch/product profitability.
  • Ability to read a Balance Sheet and allied financial data.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and use of spreadsheets.
  • Brokerage License.
  • Bilingual Spanish.
  • Supervisor or above experience.
  • Branch Management experience highly preferred.
  • 10 years of Freight Transportation experience in a leadership role highly preferred.
