About The Position

The Center Executive Director at the Parkway Community YMCA is responsible for leading and managing the center to create a transformative experience for members and the community. This role involves strategic oversight, staff development, community engagement, and ensuring the successful execution of the YMCA's mission and objectives. The Executive Director will innovate and implement programs that enhance membership growth, community involvement, and overall operational excellence.

Requirements

• BS/BA four-year college degree.
• Demonstrated record of accomplishment in membership and program growth.
• Proven track record in fiscal management and community engagement.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Thorough understanding of the YMCA movement and its mission.
• Ability to delegate responsibility and manage staff effectively.
• Experience in Design Thinking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the center to create a transformative Y Experience.
• Ensure successful execution of the YMCA of Greater Boston's strategic imperatives.
• Drive membership and program enrollment growth while maintaining high-quality experiences.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and growth opportunities.
• Recruit, develop, and maintain a highly effective Board of Advisors.
• Enhance the Y's reputation in the community through engagement with local partners and organizations.
• Collaborate with Child Development department leads to ensure positive experiences for children and parents.
• Implement design thinking practices to develop innovative solutions for the center.
• Oversee facility management to ensure safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards are met.
• Stay current on trends affecting service area demographics and program offerings.
