The Branch Coordinator position is essential in positively impacting the lives of patients and their caregivers by delivering excellent customer service during each interaction, both over the phone and in person. Branch Coordinators work collaboratively with patients, providers, and other team members to ensure that orders are received and processed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. They play a crucial role in ensuring that Owens & Minor is compensated for the services provided by obtaining all necessary documentation required to bill health insurance plans. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and systems simultaneously. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for patients arriving in person and will also handle inbound calls from customers on a multi-line phone system. You will provide information to new and existing patients, troubleshoot common issues, and work with the branch team and other departments to find appropriate resolutions. Additionally, you will perform processing duties for the branch, including creating and working with new orders, confirming delivery appointments, verifying insurance, and monitoring incoming faxes. Your efforts will help ensure that patients receive the care they need as soon as possible, maximizing their available health plan benefits.
