The Branch Coordinator position is essential in positively impacting the lives of patients and their caregivers by delivering excellent customer service during each interaction, both over the phone and in person. This role involves working collaboratively with patients, providers, and other team members to ensure that orders are received and processed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner. Additionally, Branch Coordinators play a crucial role in ensuring that Owens & Minor is compensated for the services provided by obtaining all necessary documentation required to bill health insurance plans. Branch Coordinators act as the first point of contact for patients arriving in person and are responsible for answering inbound calls from customers on a multi-line phone system. They provide information to new and existing patients, troubleshoot common issues, and work with the branch team and other departments to find appropriate resolutions. The role also includes processing duties for the branch, such as creating and working with new orders, confirming delivery appointments, verifying insurance, and monitoring incoming faxes. Furthermore, Branch Coordinators are tasked with collecting credit card payments, reconciling daily receivables, and performing outbound customer satisfaction calls to patients and referrals. This position requires a high level of organization, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to ensure that patients receive the care they need as soon as possible.
