The Branch Claims Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of personnel involved in claims adjusting and processing activities. This role involves monitoring and reviewing claim files processed by supervised personnel to ensure proper handling in accordance with policy provisions, established procedures, and legal obligations of the Companies. The supervisor will make decisions to assign claims to independent adjusters and may oversee the processing of the claim by these adjusters. Additionally, the supervisor will assist with the selection and training of personnel and is responsible for their continuing development. Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of policy provisions, company procedures, and state laws governing claims handling is essential. The supervisor may also be assigned duties regarding catastrophe teams and is expected to support compliance with innovation training and the use of all tools used in the department.
