Claims Manager – Alternate Channels $90,002 - $115,203 Job Level – Manager Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. What You Will Be Doing: Organize, direct, and manage daily operations of our Claims Offices, supervising personnel, and procedures to provide prompt and fair claims service within assigned geographic area. Assure handling of claims in accordance with established company guidelines and stay consistent with achievement of management objectives. Provide daily guidance and assistance to administrative and clerical personnel in carrying out their duties. Responsible for hiring, training, continuing development, and performance management of personnel assigned to each office. Support compliance with innovation training and use of all tools in the department. These duties and responsibilities extend to all companies of Shelter Insurance, including Haulers and AmShield. Requirements

Excellent reading comprehension skills for study of insurance policies and claims laws and ability to analyze and use management reports.
Superior leadership and communication skills.
Experience in a claims environment, demonstrating superior skills for organization, communication, negotiation, and decision making, as well as thorough knowledge of claims procedures, insurance policies and coverages.
Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
