Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in a Business Class
  • Current Laney College or Peralta Community College District student
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA throughout the program

Responsibilities

  • Help customers meet their financial goals by handling routine financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, merchant transactions, etc.)
  • Give a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the branch
  • Inform customers of other products and services that meet their needs
  • Get hands-on experience solving business needs
  • Support communities where we live and work
  • Interact with leadership
  • Be provided mentorship opportunities
  • Attend social and professional development events
  • Learn how to work as part of a team
  • Develop business acumen
  • Perform simple, routine and/or repetitive clerical functions according to standard procedures or instructions
  • Respond to routine customer inquiries
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and either answer routine questions or direct the caller to the appropriate resource
  • Perform other clerical duties as directed
  • Involvement in community events, engagement opportunities, and outreach for select events may also occur, including on weekends
