What it's like to be a Branch Assistant at The Little Turtle BRANCH As a Branch Assistant at the Little Turtle Branch, you'll play an important role in connecting patrons with the resources they need in a welcoming, community-focused environment. You'll assist customers with checking items in and out, using library materials, placing requests, and managing returns, as well as helping patrons apply for or replace library cards. You'll provide friendly, knowledgeable service in person, by phone, and via email, sharing information about library services, programs, and facilities, and explaining fees or processing payments as needed. Little Turtle is known for its close-knit, neighborhood branch feel, and this role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships and being a familiar, helpful presence in the community. Are you the Branch Assistant we're looking for? To be successful as a Branch Assistant at the Little Turtle Branch, you'll bring a balance of strong customer service skills and comfort with everyday technology. You should be able to use library systems, computers, and standard office equipment with confidence, communicate clearly with patrons, and follow procedures carefully. This role at the Little Turtle Branch calls for someone who values relationships, respects patron confidentiality, and interacts with warmth, tact, and professionalism. Working well with your teammates and contributing to a welcoming, supportive library environment is key to serving this neighborhood well. sCHEDULE This position will work 28 hours per week.
