What it's like to be a Branch Assistant at The Main Library As a Part-Time Branch Assistant at the Main Allen County Public Library, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting patrons with the resources they need! Your day will be filled with exciting interactions as you assist customers in using library materials, checking items in and out, and helping them acquire requested items. You’ll keep an eye out for any returned items needing attention and help patrons establish new library cards or replace lost ones. Whether you’re engaging in person, on the phone, or via email, your friendly demeanor will shine as you provide essential information about library activities, services, and facilities. Plus, you’ll be the go-to for explaining any fees and processing payments, ensuring a smooth experience for all! Requirements
