About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Set Up / Operator to support daily fabrication and metal forming operations. This role involves setting up and running brake press jobs, working closely with quality teams, and producing precision fabricated parts that meet print and tooling requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a brake press set up / operator
- Fabrication experience (required)
- Strong blueprint and CAD drawing interpretation skills
- GD&T knowledge
- Experience using hand tools and shop equipment
- Organized, dependable, and positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience
- Familiarity with MES systems
- Experience with qualifying and processing parts
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press equipment for daily production jobs
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T requirements
- Fabricate parts to meet gage and tooling specifications
- Work with the CMM/quality team to obtain part buy-off
- Perform metal work including grinding and finishing
- Inspect parts to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Follow safety procedures and shop standards
- Support continuous improvement and efficient workflow
