Brake Press Operator

Summary: Brake press operators are responsible for setting up and operating the brake press and other miscellaneous machines. The job includes setting up and bending parts to OnePointe Solutions’ quality standards, ensuring the brake is in good operating condition, ensuring that all documents are properly filled out, and the area is kept clean and orderly.
Requirements
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Must be able to read and follow blueprints.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience working with industrial machines.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to stand up to 90% of the day.
- Must be able to work in unheated or non-air-conditioned areas.
Nice To Haves
- Brake Operator: 3 years (Preferred)
- Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Acquire tooling as appropriate for the job and set up the machine.
- After brake press operation, remove tooling and transfer tooling back to respective locations as appropriate.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, routings, manufacturing instruction sheets, inspection cards, and drawings.
- Inspect for various defects during the operation of presses, and accurately document such inspections using an inspection card.
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct defective parts.
- Ability to learn and use various measurement and testing equipment (CMM, Height gauges, hardness tester, micrometers, calipers, 6" rule, etc.)
- Ability to identify operational problems and ask for assistance.
- Other duties may be assigned.
