About The Position

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of Press Brakes based on blueprints to fabricate parts that meet customer specifications. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine setup requirements of Press Brake Perform set-up of Press Brake, including: positioning machine in relation to the appropriate axis as planned in programming and setting stops for all depths and angles Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance operations Adjust press brake set up, as appropriate, to correct any errors Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers Check the first piece dimensions, angles, and tolerances before proceeding with the remainder of the order Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, quality, or others to resolve problems. High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level 1-3 years experience in the set up and operation of Press Brakes Ability to use precision measuring instruments Ability to read and interpret blueprints and routings Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs Ability to do other duties as assigned Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment For This Role, You Will Need: High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level 1-3 years experience in the set up and operation of Press Brakes Ability to use precision measuring instruments Ability to read and interpret blueprints and routings Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70lbs Ability to do other duties as assigned Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water. May be exposed to any number of these elements. Requirements
