Requirements

  • Education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of related experience.
  • Knowledge of the operation of braiders or other high speed equipment.
  • Individual must be self-motivated and possess good judgment in order to maintain a high degree of quantity with quality.
  • Ability to recognize problems and make adjustments to the equipment.
  • Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has met standards.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks well.
  • Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations and follow procedures.
  • Eye-hand coordination
  • Quality inspection
  • Computerized test equipment operation

Responsibilities

  • Operates, maintains and troubleshoots braiding machines.
  • Process various documentation, such as work orders.
  • Assists in the implementation of new products and equipment.
  • Assist extrusion supervisor in training of other braiding operators.
  • Assist in the operation of extruder and inspection equipment.
  • Follow work order schedule.
  • Maintain inventory control for braiding components. Includes identifying spools of wire that need to be returned to vendor.
  • Contributes to meeting department goals and operational metrics.
  • Contributes to a positive and safe working environment and the overall team efforts of the department.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
