Requirements

Education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of related experience.
Knowledge of the operation of braiders or other high speed equipment.
Individual must be self-motivated and possess good judgment in order to maintain a high degree of quantity with quality.
Ability to recognize problems and make adjustments to the equipment.
Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has met standards.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks well.
Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations and follow procedures.
Eye-hand coordination
Quality inspection
Computerized test equipment operation

Responsibilities

Operates, maintains and troubleshoots braiding machines.
Process various documentation, such as work orders.
Assists in the implementation of new products and equipment.
Assist extrusion supervisor in training of other braiding operators.
Assist in the operation of extruder and inspection equipment.
Follow work order schedule.
Maintain inventory control for braiding components. Includes identifying spools of wire that need to be returned to vendor.
Contributes to meeting department goals and operational metrics.
Contributes to a positive and safe working environment and the overall team efforts of the department.
Performs other related duties, as required.
