Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer students and recent graduates of certified Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) programs opportunities to join our Join and Installation team in Everett and Renton, Washington as an Electrical Systems - Assembler Installer. We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and installing aircraft electrical systems, equipment, and accessories to meet stringent quality requirements. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical components are accurately located and installed, contributing to the overall safety and performance of our aircraft. Requirements

  • Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training course that is certified for the 30104 Electrical Systems-Assembler Installer role.
  • Ability to recognize colors.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Nice To Haves

  • High school graduate or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install aircraft electrical systems, equipment, and accessories in the airplane and/or specific sections, adhering to quality requirements.
  • Locate points, parts, holes, wire bundles, assemblies, etc., using previously established, marked, or generally known station lines or index points, deriving measurements and related information from electrical specifications and authorized sources.
  • Conduct continuity checks to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
  • Utilize prints, changes, schematic drawings, documents, position boards, assembly pages, photographs, makeup charts, work orders, and production illustrations to complete assigned tasks.
  • Execute any necessary pickups, authorized changes, and rework independently or on comparable work, often without the use of wire forming boards, jigs, fixtures, or tooling.
  • Select appropriate parts, materials, tools, assemblies, and shields to effectively accomplish work assignments.
  • Report job handicaps, such as errors in sequencing, parts, materials, wire sizes and types, and assembly procedures, in accordance with shop procedures outlined by the supervisor.
  • Perform hand forming of electrical wiring and soldering as required to complete work assignments.
  • Carry out mechanical work when it is similar in complexity and incidental but necessary for the efficient completion of work assignments.
  • Execute necessary riveting tasks as part of the assembly process.
