About The Position

The Village School of Naples is looking for a Boys Varsity Tennis Head Coach for the Spring 2026 season. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tennis Coach to lead and develop our Boys Varsity Tennis Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to inspire student-athletes, enhance their skills, and foster a positive team environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in tennis coaching, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student growth both on and off the court. Requirements

  • Proven experience coaching tennis at the high school or equivalent level
  • Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and strategies
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and students
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement training sessions, practices, and game strategies tailored to the skill levels of varsity players
  • Provide individual coaching and feedback to improve players’ techniques, tactics, and overall performance
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating team culture
  • Scout and analyze opponents to develop effective game plans
  • Monitor players’ academic and personal development, promoting good sportsmanship and teamwork
  • Coordinate with school administration, athletic trainers, and other staff to ensure compliance with policies and safety standards
  • Organize and oversee team travel, equipment management, and other logistical needs
  • Attend and support team events, matches, and tournaments
