About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Athletics, Lacrosse Coaches are responsible for assisting Parent Volunteer Coaches with instruction and training of participants. Duties include but are not limited to developing and facilitating team activities and drills, as well as field/equipment set-up and tear-down. The Lacrosse Program participates in the Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association (IBLA) during the spring season, with off-season training opportunities available throughout the year. This is an at-will position.

Requirements

  • A passion for lacrosse
  • Self-motivated
  • Outgoing energetic personality
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with participants and their parents, coaches, staff, and the public are essential.
  • Previous playing and/or coaching experience is required.

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid/CPR/AED certified highly desired (GEPD will provide this training when needed).
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
