About The Position

PDS Optical is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Boxer to join our Shipping Department team. This position is responsible for preparing boxes used for the final shipment of eyeglasses and plays a key role in ensuring products are packaged accurately and efficiently for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Construct cardboard boxes for shipping eyeglasses
• Load and unload the boxing machine to maintain workflow
• Report errors or maintenance needs to management
• Collect packaged boxes and sort into appropriate containers
• Transfer full containers into Gaylord containers for USPS pickup
• Receive and sign for incoming shipments and deliver to departments
• Collect and distribute internal mail between departments
• Move trays and materials between departments as needed
• Assist with sorting within the shipping department
• Remove cardboard/paper waste and dispose of properly
