Overtime (OT) is offered based on business needs and is paid time and-a-half after 40 hours of work per week. Driver must have a good experience backing a 53-Foot tractor-trailer as we maneuver in very tight areas. As well as a good knowledge and experience operating/driving 26-Foot box trucks. Therefore, Class A CDL is a MUST. Daily uniforms and working boots are provided free of charge by the company. Work Schedule: Monday ~ Friday. The start of the shift varies based on business needs and drivers work 4 days per week from 10 to 11 hours per day without exceeding 11 hours of driving per DOT compliance. Long Haul Daily Stops: 1 to 3 per day (average of 280-mile radius from the plant - one way). Local Routes: Varies from 20 to 25 per day. This is a TOUCH-FREIGHT position. Trailers and box trucks need to be loaded, adjusted, and secured. The Route Driver Hybrid is able to fill in as a CDL driver, in the Shred-it and Medical Waste business, as needed. This position covers routes when other team members are on vacation or sick, including those team members at remote transfer locations for both Shred-it and Medical Waste. They are responsible for providing industry leading levels of service to our clients while taking care of all customer document destruction needs or medical waste removal. The integrity of every Route Driver is essential to maintaining goodwill and building new bonds of trust with our clients. The Route Driver is a member of the Operations team and plays an integral role as the face of Shred-it and Medical Waste. The Route Driver maintains Stericycle policies, standards, and practices and ensures adherence to Stericycle’s Vision, Mission and Values.
