About The Position

Responsible for the pick‐up and delivery of donated items from households
(tickets), attended donation
centers (ADC), and retail stores.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license.
• Must have a safe driving record and provide a copy of the 3‐year Motor Vehicle Report history.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and carry it 50 feet.
• Must be able to read a map and organize daily route schedule.
• Must be familiar with assigned area.
• Must be able to pass drug‐screening procedure.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to drive 5‐speed manual transmission.
• Must be able to be D.O.T. Certified

Responsibilities

• Operate truck in safe manner abiding by all applicable State and local transportation rules and regulations.
• Perform daily pre‐trip inspections on vehicle prior to starting route. Maintain daily log of scheduled stops.
• Maintain constant communication with Dispatcher via telephone.
• Load and unload vehicle in manner to safeguard donated items from breakage.
• Keep vehicle clean inside and out.
• Haul trash and scrap metal as authorized.
• Return salvage to centralized warehouse.
• Perform daily post‐trip inspections on vehicle and notify the Transportation Manager of any concerns.
• Ensure that first aid kit and fire extinguisher are maintained, (i.e. order supplies, check inspection date on fire extinguisher).
