About The Position

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for the material storage and preservation. All material received must be verified, counted, signed-off, and stored in the appropriate location as directed by the Lead Operator. This includes material delivered from SMD Stores, Main Stores, and the Copper Department. Any shortages and discrepancies in material documentation must be reported to the Lead Operator and the department issuing the material for investigation. All material sign-off documentation must be stored in the appropriate filing cabinet for future reference, and copies must be made when required.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, count, sign-off, and store all material received in the appropriate location as directed by the Lead Operator.
  • Report any shortages and discrepancies in material documentation to the Lead Operator and the issuing department.
  • Store all material sign-off documentation in the appropriate filing cabinet for future reference.
  • Check material racks/bins regularly throughout the day to ensure production does not run out of hardware.
  • Check extrusion stocks daily to ensure production does not run out.
  • Use the Dashboard to order consumable materials well in advance of material shortage.
  • Request parts using the SMD request database when directed by the Lead Operator.
