Box Truck Driver & Warehouse Associate
About The Position
Central Aluminum Supply, Landisville, PA, is seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our operations by assisting in loading and unloading trucks, performing general maintenance on trucks and equipment, and contributing to inventory tracking and counting processes,s along with some box truck deliveries when needed. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials. Pick orders and assist customers with orders. Assist in inventory tracking and counting processes. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently. Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times. Safely operate a box truck to transport goods and products to designated locations Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries Load and unload merchandise from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques Verify and confirm the accuracy of delivery orders with customers Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts Communicate with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status Handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules and protocols Central Aluminum Supply is a proud member of the Installed Building Products (IBP) family of companies. Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a box truck or delivery driver
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
- Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety
- Ability to handle physical demands of loading and unloading goods
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills for verifying order quantities and handling cash transactions
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery paperwork
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Flexible schedule with the willingness to work overtime
- The physical demands of a warehouse worker include lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching frequently. The worker must be able to perform tasks that involve climbing ladders or stairs, as well as operating forklifts or pallet jacks. Strong manual dexterity is required for handling equipment and performing detailed tasks. Workers must be able to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency. Attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork are essential in this role.
