About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and safety-driven Box Truck Driver to support daily operations by transporting raw materials, manufactured parts, and finished goods between company facilities. This role is a key part of maintaining production flow. When not driving, the role requires operating a forklift and assisting with shipping, receiving, and material movement throughout the plant.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle in a business setting
  • Forklift experience required
  • Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and documentation
  • Basic computer skills; ERP experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse and material handling equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing, machining, or industrial environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills; ERP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate a company-owned box truck (non-CDL) for local transport between company buildings
  • Perform pickups and deliveries to vendors and customer locations
  • Ensure all materials are properly loaded, secured, and protected during transport
  • Complete delivery documentation accurately (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Operate a forklift to move raw materials
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Stage materials for production and shipping
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing outbound shipments
  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders, job travelers, and shipping documents
  • Enter or support transactions in ERP system as needed
  • Maintain organized and safe staging areas
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and forklifts
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Report any safety concerns, vehicle issues, or material discrepancies promptly
