About The Position

Hall Nissan in Virginia Beach has expanded our Automotive Parts delivery region, and we are looking for a Box Truck Driver, to drive a route daily between Hampton Roads and the Richmond area. This is a Monday through Friday position, 8:30AM to 4PM. Position pays $18/hour. Summary: The Parts Driver will be responsible for transporting automotive parts to different locations using a company vehicle while obeying all federal and state traffic laws and safe daily practices. This individual will communicate at a high level to both internal and external customers to drive a high level of customer service.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License, with 2 or fewer moving violations in last 3 years and ALSO no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in last 3 years
Minimum 1-year experience driving a box truck
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence
Self-Starter with proven ability to seek out new ways to build opportunities for the dealership and customer satisfaction
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematics skills

Responsibilities

Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up and checks for payments
Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries, pick-ups, payments and COD’s
Advises Parts Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers' cars
