About The Position

The Box Office Specialist operates the box office ticketing systems. They will coordinate with box office staff, management, and external vendors to optimize ticketing processes and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition, create concert manifests within the ticketing platform used for the concert series. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor sales and release additional tickets as areas sell or at company discretion • Create concert manifest within the ticketing platform used for the concert series. • Build out a new seating manifest in partnership with Ticketmaster. This includes creating the SECDAT Submission Form and project stewardship with Ticketmaster. • Perform ticket sales operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in transactions while maintaining a high level of customer service • Maintain adequate supplies of tickets, receipts, and other operational materials, ensuring smooth operations during peak periods • Assist with generating reports on ticket sales, attendance, and other relevant metrics to track performance • Provides information to Box office staff regarding performances and updated ticket policies • Provides customer service by handling complaints in a professional and timely manner • Troubleshoot seating issues that arise, process refunds approved by the Senior Event Manager • Utilizes Ticketmaster software to process ticket sales, pull free tickets for public, staff, & others as directed by the Senior Event Manager • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Maintains accuracy in financial transactions
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in box office management, ticket sales, or customer service roles
  • Must possess knowledge of computer applications and experience with Ticketmasters software program
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong computer skills and understanding of the financial metrics involved in the performance of their duties
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and move around the fairgrounds
  • May be asked to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions, such as heat, cold, or rain
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work every day at the L.A. County Fair
