About the position

The Box Office Manager at Chesapeake Baysox is responsible for overseeing all ticket processing and customer service operations at Prince George's Stadium. This full-time role requires a dynamic individual who can manage ticket sales for baseball games and special events while ensuring a high level of fan interaction and satisfaction. The position involves financial responsibilities, coordination with marketing efforts, and participation in community events, all aimed at enhancing the fan experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute all facets of ticket processing including individual and group orders.
  • Emphasize customer service and fan interaction using the TicketReturn ticketing system.
  • Manage accounting, reconciling, and financial aspects of the Box Office for events.
  • Serve as the primary contact for individual ticket sales.
  • Prepare ticket orders for sponsors and group outings.
  • Process all online ticket orders.
  • Ensure repeat business by providing superior customer service.
  • Manage all ticketing on game days.
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to facilitate targeted ticket programs and events.
  • Assist in generating ideas to increase sales of all ticket types.
  • Represent the organization at community events.
  • Work all Baysox home games and stadium events.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Quick-thinking and able to work with a wide variety of personalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative on projects and events.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude and a committed team player.
  • Previous accounting and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in sports organization or related business, especially in a ticketing capacity with emphasis on digital delivery preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with FEVO/Groupmatics platform.
  • Experience and ability to translate and/or converse in Spanish.
  • Experience with TicketReturn and Tickets.com platforms.
