About The Position

The Box Office Coordinator and Group Sales Representative is responsible for managing daily ticketing operations and supporting group ticket sales efforts for the Sussex County Miners. This role emphasizes strong organizational skills, a sales-oriented mindset, and excellent customer service to enhance ticket revenue and ensure fan satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year in a box office, ticket sales, or customer service role, preferably in sports or entertainment.
  • Associate's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Focused on providing an exceptional fan experience.
  • Ability to assist in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
  • Quick and efficient resolution of ticketing or customer concerns.
  • Ensures accuracy in ticketing and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of the box office, including opening, closing, and reconciling ticket sales.
  • Operate and maintain ticketing software, ensuring proper setup for games and events.
  • Assist with training and scheduling game day box office staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving ticketing issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, revenue, and attendance data.
  • Support marketing initiatives by setting up promotional ticket offers and assisting with their execution.
  • Assist in implementing group sales strategies to drive revenue from group outings.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and reach out to community organizations, schools, businesses, and other groups.
  • Help create customized ticket packages and experiences tailored to group needs.
  • Process group ticket orders and coordinate seating arrangements.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure group experiences (e.g., pre-game parades or first pitches) are executed successfully.
