Attain Sports owns and manages four baseball teams: the Baltimore Orioles Double-A affiliate Chesapeake Baysox, the Baltimore Orioles High-A affiliate Aberdeen IronBirds, the MLB Draft League Frederick Keys, and the Atlantic League Professional Baseball Club Spire City Ghost Hounds. Additionally, Attain Sports is an owner of the United Soccer League (USL) Championship Club Loudoun United FC. Position Overview: The Box Office Assistant will work together with the Box Office Manager to present superior fan experience at the Box Office and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Box Office. We are looking for someone with an interest in working in the sports industry, and a desire to gain experience. We are looking to add a team member who is passionate about the sports industry and ready to hit the ground running. This position is fast-paced and involved in almost every aspect of the Box Office on a gameday and non-gameday. This means that you will have the opportunity to learn a lot and help contribute to Frederick Keys history. The Box Office Assistant will work with the Sales team to ensure all Ticket Plans, Group Events, and other ticketing needs are completed in a prompt and professional manner. They will also gain invaluable leadership skills while assisting with management of Gameday Staff Members (i.e. Ticket Sellers and Ticket Takers).

Requirements

  • Current Juniors/Seniors, recent college graduates and graduate students with a degree in a related field are preferred.
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Office is necessary with Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Knowledge of sports
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player
  • Must handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have fun
  • Ability to lead a small group of gameday staff (5-8), aiding them when any challenges arise, or when they may face any technical challenges
  • Comfortable with interacting in front of large crowds with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Pull tarp before, during, and after games and on non-game days, as needed
  • Perform opening and closing procedures of the Box Office on both game days and non-game days.
  • Run the sales window during all Keys home games and events.
  • Work directly with sales staff to ensure a timely and accurate processing of sales orders.
  • Assist in handling and run all group sales payments.
  • Accurately handle cash transactions
  • Handle and promptly complete Box Office Report with the daily group sales transactions.
  • Aiding gameday staff with any issue that may arise during the game.
  • Assist Box Office Manager with the training, developing, and supervising of Box Office personnel to ensure customer needs are being met and that the Box Office operation is consistently efficient
  • Operate Will Call window
  • Print out that days Will Call tickets
  • Handle and print out player list tickets
  • Assist in managing Gameday Staff
  • Data entry including group and season ticket contracts.
  • Account for all ticket sales and establish and maintain seating plans.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
  • Pre-Print/Place in TicketReturn all upcoming Group Event Tickets.
