About The Position

The Box Machine Attendant is responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting box-making and box-handling equipment to ensure a continuous supply of properly formed boxes for packaging operations. This position supports efficient production flow while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance with Tyson policies and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid environments typical of a fresh plant
Must be available to work assigned shifts
Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs

Nice To Haves

Prior machine operation or packaging experience preferred
Experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor box-making or box-forming machines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ensure a continuous supply of correctly assembled boxes to support packaging lines
Load corrugated materials and supplies into box machines as required
Make minor adjustments to box machines to maintain proper operation and box quality
Monitor boxes for defects, proper size, and structural integrity
Clear jams and restart equipment safely following proper safety procedures
Identify and report mechanical issues, supply shortages, or quality concerns promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the box machine and surrounding area
Complete required production and equipment documentation accurately
Work closely with packaging, labeling, and production team members
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements
Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Support packaging of raw and fresh products in temperature-controlled environments
Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards
Wear required PPE, including gloves, hairnets, aprons, and protective footwear
Work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant
Maintain a safe work environment and comply with Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures.
